Sense of Community: Part 1
Every dental practice needs to establish a sense of community and comfort. We believe that Vassey Dental Partners is grounded in the relationships we build with each other and our patients. Through this series of blogs, we want to help you get to know the dentists who lead our Vassey Dental Partners family.
Dr. Naik—Dr. Amish Naik was born in Queens, New York, but relocated to Georgia in 1989. He graduated magna cum laude from Georgia State University with his BBA in finance and minor in biology. For five years, he worked as a financial analyst before deciding to pursue his DMD from The Dental College of Georgia in Augusta. Although he was successful in the business world, he found his true passion, purpose, and calling in dentistry. His specialty lies in surgical dentistry, which could be everything from placing implants to wisdom teeth removal. Dr. Naik’s attentive manner puts each patient at ease before, during, and after their procedure. Dr. Naik completed his Fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. In addition to loving his work, Dr. Naik enjoys his meaningful relationships with the staff and his patients as well as the fulfillment of being part of a patient’s transformation. Off the job, Dr. Naik can be found hiking, golfing, reading, spending quality time with family, traveling, and watching movies.
Dr. Lane—Dr. Dave Lane is deeply rooted in this community as he was born in Peachtree City and graduated from Starr’s Mill High School. He studied biochemistry and molecular biology at the University of Georgia. Afterwards, he earned his DMD from Boston University’s School of Dental Medicine. He is honored to serve in the United States Army Reserves as a general dentist. Dr. Lane’s journey into dentistry at Vassey Dental Partners is unique as he started as a patient. When he was a patient, Dr. Lane loved how the practice operated and how each team member genuinely cared. He was mentored by the dentists and VDP team, allowed to shadow, encouraged to ask questions, and ultimately received their recommendations when he applied for dental school. Dr. Lane primarily works in general dentistry, which includes everything from performing routine checkups to implementing restorative measures like crowns. He is passionate about digital dentistry and utilizing the latest technological advancements in the dental field, such as 3D printing and digital scanners. His drive to embrace digital dentistry has helped Vassey move in the direction of the future and helped patients with dental anxiety avoid discomfort. In addition to the meaningful work, Dr. Lane loves the positive work environment and camaraderie of his co-workers, which he is also delighted to call dear friends. Outside of work, Dr. Lane enjoys a relaxing day at the lake, grilling out or smoking meat for his family and friends, exercising with his faith-based workout group, chilling with his dog, and being outdoors.
Dr. Keyser—Born in Peachtree City, Dr. Christine Keyser loves this community and is proud to be a graduate of McIntosh High School. She graduated summa cum laude from Georgia Tech with a BS in biology. Dr. Keyser earned her DMD from The Dental College of Georgia at Augusta. Dr. Keyser loves the field of dentistry because it has allowed her to establish long-lasting relationships while making a positive impact on patients’ lives and health. Her medical knowledge combined with her love for the art of transforming smiles make her a capable and passionate dentist. At Vassey Dental Partners, Dr. Keyser helps new patients feel welcomed and get established. Going through x-rays and oral exams can be overwhelming for patients, but Dr. Keyser’s nurturing and compassionate manner puts each new patient at ease. She really seeks to get to know each patient and understand the ideal unique way to treat them. Dr. Keyser loves how Vassey Dental Partners truly works cohesively as a team, maximizing each team member’s gifts and strengths. When she is not working, Dr. Keyser enjoys time with her family, traveling, playing soccer, and enthusiastically supporting Atlanta United. Her favorite trips so far have been Cambodia and Slovenia, but she looks forward to many more adventures in the future.
